Dorothy M. TenPas, 93, of the Town of Lima, passed away on Monday, November 5, 2018 at Pine Haven Christian Home in Sheboygan Falls.Dorothy was born on February 5, 1925 in Sheboygan to Matthew and Dena (Leys) Dekker. She was a 1943 graduate of Sheboygan North High School. On May 2, 1952, Dorothy married Harold TenPas in Sheboygan. He preceded her in death on May 28, 2014. Dorothy was a longtime member of Gibbsville Reformed Church and the Bethany Circle and Women's Missionary Society. Dorothy was also a volunteer at the Salvation Army. She enjoyed radio sports and collected salt and pepper shakers. Dorothy was a devoted homemaker and taught her children many skills such as cooking, baking, gardening, canning, and sewing. Dorothy and Harold enjoyed many years of watching Lawrence Welk together.Dorothy is survived by four daughters, Nancy Josiah of Oostburg, Teresa "Teri" (George) Rogahn of Franklin, Marilyn "Mary" (Timothy) Wieskamp of Oostburg and Julie (John) Newton of Belgium; five sons, Harlan (Sandra) of Lake Forest, IL, Jeff (Sally) of Winters, CA, Carl G. (Barbara) of Sheboygan Falls, Richard (Ruth) of Sheboygan, and David (Phyllis) TenPas of Rhinelander; 16 grandchildren, Mark TenPas, Matthew TenPas, Adam TenPas, Benjamin TenPas, Caleb TenPas, Nyande Josiah, Lahai Josiah, Keimba Josiah, Kortu Josiah, Maatilor Josiah, Luke Rogahn, Jonathan (Kristin) Wieskamp, Hannah (Zach) Radschlag, Angela Wieskamp, Rebecca Wieskamp, and Aaron Newton. Dorothy is also survived by one brother, Theodore Dekker of Sheboygan. Dorothy was looking forward to the birth of her first great grandchild, due in January.Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband, Harold, her parents; and parents-in-law, Harry and Jennie TenPas; three sisters, Katherine (Rudolph) Huizenga, Maude (Gordon) Heinen and Margaret (Gordon) Hilbelink; three brothers, Peter (Rena and Elsie), Danker (Martha), and Martin (Harriet) Dekker; and a sister-in-law, Crystal Dekker.A funeral service to celebrate Dorothy's life will be held on Monday, November 12, 2018 at 10:30 am at the Gibbsville Reformed Church with Rev. David Krueger officiating. Burial will be at Gibbsville Cemetery. Relatives and friends may greet the family on Sunday, November 11, 2018 at the Wenig Funeral Home in Oostburg from 1-4 pm and again on Monday at the Gibbsville Reformed Church from 9:30 am until the time of service at 10:30am. A memorial fund is being established in her memory for the Salvation Army and Campus Life.The staff of the Wenig Funeral Home of Oostburg (920-564-2771) is assisting the TenPas family with arrangements.
