Obituary for Gerald Schnitzler

Gerald Ray Schnitzler, 63, of Sheboygan Falls, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, August 26, 2017, at St. Nicholas Hospital.

Gerald was born on September 20, 1953, in Campbellsport to Robert and Edith (Thompkins) Schnitzler. He attended Sheboygan Falls High School.

On February 16, 1974, Gerald married Diane Repphun in St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Sheboygan Falls. Gerald was employed at Mendocino Village where he worked in general maintenance.

He enjoyed woodworking and visiting with his dear neighbors. He will always be remembered for his great sense of humor.

Gerald is survived by his wife, Diane Schnitzler of Sheboygan Falls; two brothers, Allen (Ally) Schnitzler of Missoula, MT, David Schnitzler of Sheboygan; one sister, Nancy (Arthur) Barker of New Hill, NC; one brother-in-law, Jerry Repphun; one sisters-in-law, Janet Schell; and dear friends, Jim (Judy) Wallner of Sheboygan Falls.

Gerald was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Edith Schnitzler; and a two brothers, Roger Schnitzler, and Thomas Schnitzler.

A memorial service to celebrate Gerald's life will be held on Saturday, September 2, 2017, at 3:00 pm at Wenig Funeral Homes in Sheboygan Falls.

Relatives and friends may greet the family at the funeral home on Saturday, September 2, 2017 from 1:00 pm until the time of service at 3:00 pm.

A memorial fund is being established in his name.
