Obituary for Suzanne Catherine Schroeder

Suzanne Catherine Schroeder, 77, of Sheboygan Falls, passed away on Friday, January 5, 2018, at Bria of Trinity Village in Milwaukee.

Suzanne C. (Schmitt) Schroeder was born on December 12, 1940, in Sheboygan to Peter and Ruth (Grotegut) Schmitt. She attended Holy Family Convent in Manitowoc and graduated from Sheboygan Central High School.

On June 11, 1966, Suzanne married her best friend, Curtis A. Schroeder, in Sheboygan at St. Peter Claver Parish. Suzanne retired from Bemis Manufacturing after many years of dedicated employment.

She was a member of Blessed Trinity Parish in Sheboygan Falls where she served as a CCD teacher, sang in the church choir, and helped with various church actives. She enjoyed spending time outside in her yard, taking drives, and spending time with her family and friends.

Suzanne is survived by her daughter, Lisa (John) Peplinski of Milwaukee; two sons, Patrick (Wendy) Schroeder of Sheboygan Falls, Jeffrey Schroeder of Sheboygan; four grandchildren, Robert Schroeder, Brittany Schroeder, Kayla Schroeder, Kiaya Schroeder; a brother, Donald (Irene) Schmitt of Sheboygan; and two sisters-in-law, Barbara Schmitt, and Rogene Schmitt. Suzanne is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Suzanne was preceded in death by her loving husband of 47 years, Curtis Arno Schroeder; parents Peter Sr. and Ruth Schmitt; two grandchildren, Mason Jeffrey Schroeder, Jordyn Suzanne Schroeder; three brothers, Richard Schmitt, Clayton Schmitt, and Peter Schmitt Jr.; one niece, Christine Schmitt; and two brothers-in-law, Gilbert Schroeder, and Donald Schroeder.

A Mass of Christian Burial to celebrate Suzanne's life will be held on Thursday, January 11, 2018, at 12:00pm at Blessed Trinity in Sheboygan Falls at with Fr. Joe Dominic officiating. A burial will take place at Sheboygan Falls Cemetery. A luncheon will follow at Blessed Trinity Parish.

Relatives and friends may greet the family at the Wenig Funeral Home in Sheboygan Falls on Wednesday, January 10, 2018, at 4pm to 7pm and again on Thursday at Blessed Trinity Parish in Sheboygan Falls from 11am until the time of mass at 12pm.

A memorial fund is being established in her name.

The family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to the staffs of Froedtert NICU, Select Specialty Hospital at St. Francis, and Bria of Trinity Village.
