Daniel J. Sagunsky, 61, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday evening, April 24, 2022 at his home in Sheboygan Falls.

Daniel was born December 18, 1960 in Sheboygan, the son of Eugene and Ruth Ann (nee Will) Sagunsky. He attended school in Sheboygan Falls, graduating from Sheboygan Falls High School in 1979.

Throughout his career, Dan worked for local vending companies. Most recently, he worked for Voortman Cookies, where he was affectionately known as “the cookie man”. He retired in March of 2020.

Dan attended Blessed Trinity Catholic Church, and also enjoyed going to various hunting banquets. An avid outdoorsman, he loved hunting, fishing, golfing and spending time at his cabin in Conover, WI. He cherished time spent with his family and close friends; he was dearly loved, and will be missed by many.

Dan is survived by his longtime partner and best friend of 23 years, Pamela Rutherford of Sheboygan Falls and his siblings: Karen (Mark) Hallam of Granite Bay, CA, Kathy (Jim) Schleh of Taylor, WI and Gary (Leslie) Sagunsky of La Costa, CA. He is further survived by Pamela’s family whom he loved as his own; children: Shaun and Ryan Rutherford and grandchildren: Caleb, Clayton, Saumura and Ryder Rutherford and Peyton Kelling; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

He is preceded in death by his parents and nephew Nathan Schleh.

A Celebration of Dan’s Life will be held at a later date.
