Allan A. Steffen passed away peacefully Saturday morning, December 11, 2021 at Sunny Ridge Nursing Home. He was 75 years old.
Al was born September 11, 1946 in Milwaukee, the son of Louis and Frances (nee Freund) Steffen. He attended Chilton High School. Al went on to work in the automotive field, first as an auto mechanic and later doing sales of auto parts in the Sheboygan area. In the early 1980’s, he co-owned an auto parts store in Sheboygan and Sheboygan Falls.
On December 2, 1972, he was united in marriage with Brenda Bartz in Manitowoc. The couple lived in Cleveland for a short time before making their home in Sheboygan.
An avid car fan, Al loved attending car shows in his 1966 Chevy II Supersport. He also loved music, and enjoyed collecting music of the 1950’s and 1960’s. Above all, he cherished time with his family and was a loving husband, dad and Papa.
Al is survived by his wife of 49 years, Brenda, and their children: Lana (Erik) Quandt of Oostburg, Aaron Steffen (Tricia Klemp) of Wausau and Kristin (Brad) Robinson of Sheboygan. He is further survived by 6 grandchildren: McKenna Robinson, Olivia McTrusty, Spencer McTrusty, James Robinson, Ellie Robinson and Jack Robinson; great-grandson Leo Rietbrock; brothers and sisters-in-law, other relative and friends.
He is preceded in death by his parents, parents-in-law and grandson Harrison Coates.
A Celebration of Al’s Life will be held from 3:30-5:30PM on Thursday, December 16, 2021 at Wenig Funeral Home, 711 Broadway in Sheboygan Falls.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to a charity of the donor’s choice in Al’s name.
