Allen Herzog

Allen E. Herzog, of Sheboygan Falls, passed away at his home on Friday, April 14, 2023, with his family by his side.

Allen was born on May 13, 1946, to Reinhold and Eleanore (Baumann) Herzog. Allen was a 1964 graduate of Sheboygan Falls High School. On March 29, 1969, Allen married Jean Rudolph in Manitowoc.

For over 37 years, Allen was a repairman for Tecumseh Products Company. After his retirement, he worked at Majestic Crossing Farms as a maintenance worker for many years.

He enjoyed woodworking, camping, and fishing. Above all, he was a beloved dedicated Grandpa, Dad, and Husband.

Allen was kind, talkative, caring, dependable. He was always willing to lend a helping hand or an ear to listen. He will be dearly missed.

Allen is survived by his wife, Jean Herzog; children, Dawn (Dan) Otte; grandchildren, Trenten Otte, Nathaniel Otte, JoAllen Herzog; great-grandchildren, Lacey Batte and Mason Batte; brothers, Roy (Christine) Herzog, and Richard (Sandy) Herzog. He is further survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

Allen was preceded in death by his parents, Reinhold and Eleanore Herzog; son, Erik Herzog.

A memorial service to honor Allen’s life will take place at Wenig Funeral Homes – Sheboygan Falls, on Tuesday, April 25 at 6:00 pm. A time of visitation will take place from 3:00 pm until the time of service at 6:00 pm.  

Memorial contributions can be made in Allen’s name to the Sheboygan Falls Food Pantry.
