Arthur J. Houwers

Arthur J. Houwers, formerly of Sheboygan Falls, passed away Tuesday, April 29, 2025 at Lakehouse Sheboygan. He was 77 years old.

Arthur was born August 13, 1947 in Sheboygan, the son of Andrew and Lettie (Helmer) Houwers. He graduated from Sheboygan Falls High School in 1965 and went on to earn a degree from the University of Oshkosh. From 1968-1971, he served his country in the United States Army.

For many years, he worked as a computer programmer at Acuity.

An avid Green Bay Packer fan, Arthur enjoyed woodworking, ham radios and spending time with his family and neighbors.

Arthur is survived by his children: William Houwers of Elcho, WI and Lisa (Jason) Cote of Sheboygan; grandchildren Braxtyn Cote, Parker Cote and Jazlyn Houwers; sister Connie Machi, brother Jim (Pat) Houwers; former-wife Debra Houwers; other relatives and friends.

He is preceded in death by his parents, infant brother Paul and fiancé Cheryl Joy Pipkorn (1969).

A private family graveside service will be held.
