Betty Jane Voigt

Betty Voigt, 94, of Sheboygan Falls, passed away peacefully in her sleep on Friday, December 2, 2022.

Betty was born on March 16, 1928, in Peoria, IL., daughter of the late Benjamin and Flossie Clymer Plattner. She graduated from Eureka High School in Eureka, IL. She was united in marriage to Elwood R. “Woody” Voigt on October 28, 1950, and together they raised 3 children, Ronald, Lori, and Lynne.

Betty was a paralegal in Port Washington, WI before retiring in 1991. She was a life-long choir member at various churches from Illinois, Indiana, Wisconsin, and Arkansas. Along with musical ensembles and women’s chorus. She loved her music!

She leaves a son, Ronald A. and Sharon Leider Voigt, of Port Washington; daughter, Lynne and Robert A. Pfister, of Sheboygan Falls; grandchildren, Andrea Moeller-Donham, Lauralyn (Johnny) Daggett, Zach (KJ) Ehr, Anna (Josh) Flanders, Lauren Ehr, Ali Ehr, Corey (Melissa) Aponte, Bradley Aponte; and 12 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Woody and daughter, Lori Ehr.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Redeemer Lutheran Church, 1808 Eastern Avenue, Plymouth on Friday, December 9, 2022, at 1:00pm.

Relatives and friends may greet the family at church from 12:00 until the time of service at 1:00pm.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are appreciated in Betty’s name to the Stephanie Weill Center for the Performing Arts.

Betty’s family would like to extend their deep appreciation and heartfelt thanks to the caring staff at Pine Haven, Prairie Crossings, and St. Nicholas Hospice team, led by Joyce.
