Bradley Eckwielen

Bradley L. Eckwielen, 57, entered eternal life on December 22, 2021, at Sharon S. Richardson Community Hospice.

Brad Eckwielen was born in Ionia, MI on November 18, 1964, to James Eckwielen and Mary (Neerhof) Eckwielen. Brad was a 1983 graduate of Sheboygan County Christian High School and continued his education at LTC where he took the Electronics Technician Program. On August 25, 1986, Bradley married Wendy Joosse at Hingham Reformed Church.

Brad was very skilled with electronics. He started his first business, Custom Communication Solutions, in 2003. He later founded DigiTenna LLC. He designed, invented and holds patents for the DigiTenna. In addition to his business, he has been working with O&W Communications in Sheboygan.

Brad really enjoyed music. So much so, that he purchased speakers and equipment in high school and was frequently asked to be the DJ at local school dances. Brad also enjoyed working on cars, spending time outdoors, grilling out, and going on long walks. Brad was once part of the biking group, Lakeshore Loopers, and put many miles on his road bike. Brad served on the school board at Oostburg Christian School and Sheboygan Christian High School. He was also a very active member at Evangelical Free church and served on the board. He helped by doing the lighting and sound at church and school events. He very much enjoyed attending his childrens’ sporting and music events.

Brad is known as a very helpful and giving man. Brad highly valued his Digitenna employees, O&W coworkers and his friends. Most of all, Brad enjoyed spending time with his most precious accomplishment - his family.

Brad will be dearly missed and forever loved by his family and friends.

Brad is survived by his wife, Wendy Eckwielen; daughters, Andrea (Eckwielen) Meerdink, Meggie Eckwielen; son, Andrew Eckwielen; father, James Eckwielen; sister, Deborah (Rev. John) Birkett; mother-in-law, Diane Joosse; sister-in-law, Jody (Kurt) Thuemmler; and brothers-in-law, Randy Joosse, Steve (Terri) Joosse. He is further survived by beloved nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

Brad is preceded in death by his mother, Mary (Neerhof) Eckwielen, and father-in-law, Carl Joosse.

A funeral service will take place on Sunday, January 2, 2022, at the Sheboygan Evangelical Free Church at 5:00 pm with Rev. Jon MacDonald officiating. Visitation will take place at the Sheboygan Evangelical Free Church from 1:00 pm until 4:45 pm. A private burial will take place at Cedar Grove Cemetery.
