Brian Keith Leonhardt

Brian K. Leonhardt, 82, of Sheboygan, passed away peacefully, surrounded by family, on Wednesday, April 3, 2024, at Aurora Medical Center – Sheboygan County. He joined his son, Curt, who passed away on the same day, 14 years ago. 

Brian was born on May 1, 1941, to Henry and Maude (Baarendse) Leonhardt in Sheboygan. He graduated from North High School and went on to join the US Army. He retired as a Master Sargeant in the Army Reserves after serving his country for over 30 years. Brian worked at Kohler Company for over 25 years, retiring as a Supervisor in Consumer Affairs. After retirement, he filled his days by being a courier for Community Bank and Trust.

Brian was united in marriage to Rosie Wagner on November 18, 1967, at Hope Reformed Church in Sheboygan. He was a member of Hope Reformed Church in Sheboygan, Elks Lodge, and Kohler Quarter Century Club. Brian enjoyed bowling, golfing, and playing tennis. He loved spending time with his grandchildren and enjoyed his “puppy pickup” days, where he picked them up from school.

Brian is survived by his wife of 56 years, Rosie; daughters, Sheila Barger (Shawn Theune) and Brenda (Kelly) Komoroski; grandchildren, Bradlee Barger and Jessi Barger; siblings, Jean Long, Ruth Neimuth, James (Vicki) Leonhardt; siblings-in-law, Beatrice (Allan) Klujeske, Monica Messner, John (Denise) Wagner, Marlene Delaney; nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

He was preceded in death by his son, Curt; parents; parents-in-law, Erwin and Katherine Wagner; brothers-in-law, Ronald Long, Marvin Neimuth, Kenneth Messner, Tom Delaney. 

Following Brian’s wishes, there will be a private family service.

Brian’s family wishes to extend a heartfelt thank you to the staff of Aurora Medical Center – Sheboygan County and Aurora at Home Hospice, especially Jason, for his compassionate care of Brian and his family.
