Carl T. Peters

Carl T. Peters passed away peacefully on Wednesday, May 1, 2024 at Aurora St. Luke’s Medical Center with his children by his side. He was 66 years old.

Carl was born August 21, 1957 in Milwaukee, the son of Carl and Alvera (Plopper) Peters. He graduated from Nicolet High School.

On May 11, 1985 he was united in marriage with Vickie Verhaalen. She preceded him in death in 2002.

Carl took great pride in his work as a groundskeeper at Blue Mound Country Club in Wauwatosa, where he worked for over 30 years.

An outdoorsman who loved fishing and hunting, Carl also enjoyed watching football. He was a devoted and loving father and grandfather.

Carl is survived by his children Andrew (Lianne) Peters and Sara (Joshua) Ortman; one grandson Logan Peters; sister Deb Lewin; mother-in-law Joann Verhaalen; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

He is preceded in death by his parents, his wife Vickie, father-in-law Ronald Verhaalen, and brother-in-law Jeffrey Lewin.

The family will receive visitors at Wenig Funeral Home, 108 Center Ave. in Oostburg on Thursday, May 16, 2024 from 12:00 noon – 1:00PM. A private family funeral will follow. 

He will be laid to rest beside Vickie at Union Cemetery in Oostburg.
