Carol Ann (Dees) Voskuil, 68, of Oostburg, passed away on Wednesday, March 21, 2018, at the Sharon S. Richardson Community Hospice Center.Carol was born on September 9, 1949, in Sheboygan, WI to Rollen and Joyce (Pietenpol) Preder. She was a 1969 graduate of Oostburg High School and then attended Kenosha Technical Institute for nursing.On August 22, 1970, Carol married Craig Dees in Oostburg. Craig preceded Carol in death on April 22, 2010. On September 16, 2017 Carol married Wendel H. Voskuil in Oostburg.Carol was a faithful mother raising her two children and also worked at the Aurora Clinic- Sheboygan and Cedar Grove locations as a Licensed Practical Nurse until her retirement in 2005. Previously she worked at St. Nicholas Hospital and St. Mary Burn Center in Milwaukee.She was a faithful member of the First Reformed Church of Oostburg where she was a Sunday School teacher, elder, MOPS volunteer, Small Group, Healing Shawl Ministry and Women's Ministry. She enjoyed reading, journaling, scrapbooking, coloring, and crafts. Carol enjoyed going out for coffee and lunch with her friends; but most of all cherished the time she could spend with her family.Carol is survived by her loving husband, Wendel Voskuil; daughter, Stephanie (Jamey) Hengst of Oostburg; son, Jeremy (girlfriend Amy Prening) Dees of Sheboygan; four grandchildren, Alexia, Griffin, and MacKenzie Hengst and Madelyn (Dees)Schilling; her father, Rollen "Dick" Preder of Oostburg ; a sister, Donna (Tom) Klujeske; a brother, Rollie (Sue) Preder; four step children, Terry (Dawn) Voskuil of Rockford , Kristy (Tim) DeBlaey of Elkhart Lake, Chad (Melanie) Voskuil and Nate (Jess) Voskuil, both of Oostburg; 11 step-grandchildren, Crystal, Caleb and Charity Voskuil, Ashley, Brooke, and Courtney DeBlaey, Jonah and Elisha Voskuil, and Jaden, Kylie, and Landen Voskuil; one step- great granddaughter; four sisters-in-law, Angeline (David) Hoftiezer; Lynn (Larry) Reimes, Carol (John) Lammers and Betty (Ron) Strahl; six brothers-in-law, Jerome (Mary) Dees, Alfred (Jan) Dees, Rev. Roger (Kathy) Voskuil, Fred (Kathy) Voskuil, Lee (Mary) Voskuil, and Paul (Jill) Wensink; nieces and nephews.Carol was preceded in death by her first husband, Craig Dees; mother, Joyce Preder; and parents-in-law, Marvin and Marion Dees and Harold and Dorothy Voskuil.A funeral service to celebrate Carol's life will be held at 10:30 am on Monday, March 26, 2018 at the First Reformed Church in Oostburg with Revs. Bob Rook and Mike Lueck officiating. Burial will take place at Cedar Grove Cemetery.Relatives and friends may greet the family at the Wenig Funeral Home in Oostburg on Sunday, March 25, 2016 from 2-6 pm, and again on Monday, at the CHURCH from 9:30 am until the time of service at 10:30 am.A memorial fund is being established in her name for the First Reformed Church and Sharon S.
