David L. Maas, of Sheboygan Falls, passed away Saturday, August 29, 2026 at St. Vincent Hospital. He was 78 years old.
David was born March 18, 1948 in Juneau, son of Herbert and Hilda (Wolter) Maas. He graduated from Random Lake High School in 1967. The majority of his career he worked as a butcher/meat cutter, eventually returning to it in his retirement. He retired as a CNC operator in 2010.
On July 29, 1972 he was united in marriage with Sharon Ahrens Jacoby in Sherman Center.
A former member of the Cascade Lions Club and Cascade dart league, as well as an avid Green Bay Packer and Nascar fan, David also enjoyed listening to POLKAS, fishing and hunting.
David is survived by his wife of 54 years, Sharon, and their children: Daryl (Linda) Maas, Debra Wallner and James (Lisa) Wichmann; grandchildren: Cameron (Nicki) Damrow, Brittany Green, Breana (Nick) Williams, Katie Green, Cassandra (Adam) Koepsell, Dean (Amanda) Fredricks, Cole (Rachel) Damrow, Jeff (Annika) Fredricks, Carlee (Joe) Maas, Shauna Wichmann, Vallery Wallner and Faith Wallner; 11 great-grandchildren; siblings: Edgar (Darlene) Maas, Roger (Joan) Maas, Larry (Carol) Maas, Clarence (Linda) Maas, Dale Maas, Ron (Barbara) Wolter; sister-in-law Dianne Maas; brother-in-law Jerry Bauer; other relatives and friends.
He is preceded in death by his parents, parents-in-law Bill and Germaine Ahrens, daughter Dawn Wichmann, daughter-in-law Lori Maas; brothers Ernst (Marion), Eugene and Lyle, sisters Dolly Maas and Marcella Bauer and sister-in-law Gayla Maas.
A Memorial Service will be held at 3:00PM on Friday, September 4, 2026 at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Sheboygan Falls. The family will receive visitors at the church on Friday from 1:00-3:00PM.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested in his name to St. Paul Lutheran Church.
