Dennis R. Haefke

Dennis R. Haefke, 76, of Sheboygan Falls, was welcomed into Heaven on Tuesday, August 8, 2023, by his wife Carol, parents Arthur and Mildred Haefke, sister Bonnie (Darryll) Schroeder, and son Craig Haefke.

Dennis was born on November 20, 1946, to Arthur and Mildred (Cotter) Haefke in Sheboygan. He graduated from Sheboygan Falls High School in 1965. From June 6, 1967-1969, Dennis served his country in the US Army as military police in Stutgart, West Germany.

On April 16, 1983, Dennis married Carol Zaucha at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Sheboygan Falls.

Dennis was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church. Dennis loved working on small engines, lawn mowers, and snow blowers. He was very involved in American Legion Post in Sheboygan Falls and was a proud member for 50 years.

Dennis is survived by his children, Bill (Laura) Kern of Adell, Michael (Jessica) Haefke of Oostburg, Todd (Andrea) Haefke of Sheboygan; grandchildren, Stephanie (Travis) Seidel, Amberlyn (Seth) Barribeau, Karington and Sydney Haefke, Allison and Matthew Haefke, Jacob (Crystal) Hedrich; great-grandchildren, Lilly, Aiden, and Zoe Hedrich. He is further survived by his sister, Julie (Bill) Ullmer; siblings-in-law, Robert Zaucha, Arlene Krueger, Bill (Laura) Zaucha; nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

A funeral service for Dennis will be held at Wenig Funeral Home in Sheboygan Falls on Friday, August 11, 2023, at 1:00pm. Entombment will take place at Greenlawn Memorial Park.

Relatives and friends may greet the family from 11:00am until the time of service.
