Dennis L. Nelson

Dennis L. Nelson of Oostburg passed away peacefully Wednesday evening, May 27, 2026 at his home.

Dennis was born July 20, 1941 in Daggett, MI, the son of Arvid and Mildred (Klatt) Nelson. He graduated from Carney Nadeau School.

He was a longtime maintenance employee of Kohler Company where he was a proud member of the Quarter Century Club.

On February 14, 1992 he was united in marriage with Anne Najacht in Sheboygan.

Dennis is survived by his wife Anne, daughter Kathy (Ron) Gerharz, step-children: Brian (Laura) Gumm, Carrie (Larry) Simolke and Tyler (Erin) Gumm, grandchildren William (Stephani) Schmidt, Sean and Michael Gerharz, Emily and Brandon Gumm, Samantha and Elizabeth Simolke, and Cameron and Hannah Gumm; great-grandchildren Avery, Orion, Landon, Evelyn; sister Dianne (Joe) Bellmore; sisters-in-law Carol Jones and Helen Peters; other relatives and friends.

He is preceded in death by his son Kevin Nelson, grandson Cody Schmidt and brother-in-law William Najacht.

Private family services will be held at Sunrise Memorial Gardens.
