Donna Rae (Ziemer) Woefel

Donna Rae (Ziemer) Woefel, 72, of Green Bay, passed away on Monday, August 10, 2026, at HSHS St. Mary’s Hospital in Green Bay.

Donna was born on February 15, 1954, to Elroy and Marion (LeFebvre) Ziemer in Maine. She graduated from South High School in 1974. Donna worked at RCS for 4 years before working at KB Toy Works for 2 years as a greeter.

Donna enjoyed playing games, especially cribbage, cross stitching and was an avid Packer fan. In her younger years, Donna enjoyed participating in Special Olympics and going to Camp Wawbeek in Wisconsin Dells each summer. More recently, her greatest joy was watching the Gameshow Channel and reading. She loved her church family and being a member of Pilgrim Lutheran Church in Green Bay.

Donna is survived by her sister, Diane (Michael) Mertes; brother, Daniel Ziemer; brother-in-law, Mark Beyer; nieces and nephews: Lindy (Roman Golbienko) Beyer, Ryan Beyer, Chrysta Beyer, Amanda Ziemer, Eve Angela (Bre) Giles, Sara Mertes, Kyle (Ashley) Mertes, Crystal (Leticia Sanchez) Ziemer, Randy (Shoshanah Garcia) Ziemer; best friend and caregiver, Kitty Coombes; furry companions, Gizmo and Merlon; special friends, Angel and Michael Schultz; great nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Elroy and Marion and sister, Patricia Beyer.

A graveside service to celebrate Donna’s life will be held at Sunrise Memorial Gardens on Friday, August 14, 2026, at 11:00am.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are appreciated in Donna's name to the Cerebral Palsy Foundation.
