Dorothy (Fleming) Ruh

Dorothy Marie (Fleming) Ruh, of Sheboygan Falls, passed away on Friday, February 26, 2021, at her home, at the age of 91 years young.

Dorothy was born on June 15, 1929, in Milwaukee to Paul and Josephine (Clauss) Bantz. She was a graduate of Pius XI High School in 1947.

On May 14, 1949, Dorothy married James Fleming in Milwaukee. James preceded her in death on August 19, 1998.

Dorothy was a homemaker for many years, raising her 15 children and teaching them by her example. Once her children were all in school, Dorothy went to work outside the home, joining Bemis Manufacturing for 18 years until her retirement in 1992.

On February 25, 2000, Dorothy married James Ruh in Sheboygan Falls. James preceded her in death on November 14, 2016.

Dorothy lived her life with such grace serving her Lord, husband, and family. She was a faithful member of Blessed Trinity Parish in Sheboygan Falls. She was also a member of the Blessed Trinity Parish Choir, Christian Education Program, Tops weight loss, share food program, golden chordaliers. She enjoyed knitting and singing.

Dorothy is survived by her ten daughters, Joanne Voskuil, Susan Heidemann, Sandra (Jess) Salas, Kathleen (Joe) Jantz, Patricia (Jeff) Davis, Christine (Bob) Mehn, Connie (Kevin) Kohlmann, Denise Fleming, Carolyn (John) Reinke, Margaret (Jason) Damkot; five sons, Thomas (Suzanne) Fleming, William (Carol) Fleming, Steven (Ginger) Fleming, Robert Fleming, John (Alana) Fleming.

She is further survived by 34 grandchildren, 45 great-grandchildren, 8 great-great-grandchildren, 4 stepchildren, 8 step grandchildren, 14 step great-grandchildren.

Dorothy was preceded in death by her first husband, James Fleming; second husband, James Ruh; son-in-law, Jeff Voskuil; seven brothers, Leonard (Cecellia) Bantz, Paul (LaVerne) Bantz, Eugene (Ella) Bantz, Robert (Luella) Bantz, Danial Bantz, Jerome (Lila) Bantz, Howard (Luceil) Bantz; grandchild, Erin Mehn; dear friend and partner of Bob Fleming, Steve Naffin.

A Mass of Christian Burial to celebrate Dorothy's life will be held on Wednesday, March 3, 2021 at Blessed Trinity Catholic Parish at 12:00 pm. If unable to attend, all are welcome to join via livestream by visiting www.wenig.live/DorothyRuh . A private inurnment will take place at the Gardens of Peace at a later date.

Relatives and friends may greet the family at Blessed Trinity on Wednesday, from 11:00 am until the time of service at 12:00 pm.

A memorial fund is being established in Dorothy’s name for Sharon S. Richardson Community Hospice.
