Edith M. Ten Dolle

Edith “Edee” Mae Ten Dolle, aged 88, formerly of Gibbsville, was united with her Lord and Savior, with family by her side on Friday, September 15, 2023 at her daughter Pam’s home in Watertown.

Edith was born on March 24, 1935, to Harvey and Marie (Hendrikse) Winkelhorst. Edith grew up in Gibbsville, attended Horace Mann School and graduated from Oostburg High School in 1953. On October 16, 1953 Edith was united in marriage to Carl Ten Dolle. They shared nearly 54 years of marriage before his passing on July 7, 2007.

Edee was a lifelong member of Gibbsville Church, where she had been a member of Bethany Circle and enjoyed singing with the Ladies Double Trio. She and Carl were members of the Pony Club, and enjoyed bowling and golfing. From little on, Edee spent much of her time outdoors.  From gardening, canning, and mowing the lawn, to working alongside her husband on the farm, she loved country living.

Her life was filled with faith, a large loving family, and many memories created with her and Carl’s circles of friends. Edith was not only a faithful disciple of Jesus but also a loving wife, devoted mother and grandmother, and cherished friend.

Edee is survived by three daughters Gail (Stan) Claerbout of Minneola, FL, Shary (Don) De Troye of Oostburg, and Pam (Brett) Korpela of Watertown, WI; and two sons, Jim (Patti) Ten Dolle, Rick (Jane) Ten Dolle both of Gibbsville. She is further survived by her siblings: Harriet Rauwerdink of Oostburg, Shirley Claussen of Cedar Grove and Gary (Julie) Winkelhorst of AZ; brothers-in-law: John Ten Dolle of Hingham and Glen (Annette) Ten Dolle of Cedar Grove; Sister-in-law Harriet Ten Dolle; along with 37 grandchildren, 61 great-grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren on the way.

She is preceded in death by her husband Carl, sister LaVerne Voesch, sisters-in-law Phyllis (Jim) Dulmes and Marge Ten Dolle, and brothers-in-law: Ronald Rauwerdink, Donald Voesch, Erwin Claussen and Lloyd Ten Dolle.
