Edward Pamperin

Edward "Ed" Harold Pamperin, 97, of Kohler, passed away on Friday, November 30, 2018, at Sheboygan Health Services. Ed was born on August 15, 1921, in Hazel, South Dakota to Rev. August and Alma (Hilgendorf) Pamperin. Ed was a 1939 graduate of Tomah High School. Ed served his country in the Army Air Corps from 1942-1945, stationed in Germany, England and France. On June 11, 1949 he married Helen Jane Wiley, she preceded him in death on July 17, 1984. On April 5, 1986, Ed married Annette at First United Lutheran Church in Sheboygan. Ed was a Supervisor for Wisconsin Power and Light for 47 years until his retirement in 1986. Ed was a member of First United Lutheran Church in Sheboygan, where he served as an usher. Ed was a board member for RCS for 19 years and was also a member of the Sheboygan County Museum, Sheboygan Kiwanis, and the Toastmasters. Ed enjoyed golfing, fishing, and was a world traveler.   Ed is survived by his wife, Annette;  three step-children, David (Cindy) Jankus, Julie Matson, and Cindi (Jeff) Gamb; three step-grandchildren, Adam (Heather) Jankus, Chad (Krystina) Jankus, and Jerrod Gamb; five step-great grandchildren, Lars, Ashlyn, Kara, Lana and Phoenyx; one sister, Viola Kachelski; four brothers-in-law, John (Kay) Hesselink, Mark (Barb) Hesselink, Vilas Hesselink, and  Ronald Hesselink; and one sister-in-law, Jane (Gary) Jensema. He is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.  Edward was preceded in death by his parents; his first wife, Jane Pamperin; daughter, Nancy Pamperin; brothers and sisters, Raymond (Virgilia), Marvin (Florence), Margaret (Skip), Frieda (Roy) and Eunice (Eugene) and Gertrude (Charlie); parents-in-law, Irvin and Marie Hesselink; three brothers-in-law, Carl (Pat) Hesselink, Eugene Nelson, and Robert Kachelski; three sisters-in-law, Carolyn (Edward) Meyer, Ellen Hesselink, and Margaret Hesselink.  A memorial service to celebrate Ed's life will be held on Friday, December 7, 2018, at 2pm at the First United Lutheran Church in Sheboygan with Rev. Todd Smith officiating. An inurnment will take place at the church columbarium. Relatives and friends may greet the family at the First United Lutheran Church in Sheboygan on Friday, December 7, 2018 from 12 pm until the time of service at 2pm.  In lieu of flowers a memorial fund is being established in his name for RCS, First United Lutheran Church or charity of your choice. The family wishes to extend a heartfelt thank you to the staff at Sheboygan Health Services and Sharon S.
