Elizabeth "Betty" R. Hodge

Elizabeth “Betty” R. Hodge, 100, of Sheboygan Falls, formerly of Plymouth, passed away on Saturday, April 13, 2024, at Pine Haven Christian Communities – Giddings Campus.

Betty was born to John and Margaret (Gahagen) Hodge on August 18, 1923, in Plymouth, WI. She attended St. John the Baptist Parochial School and graduated from Plymouth High School in 1941. Betty was a lifelong member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Plymouth. 

After graduation, Betty worked at the law offices of Gaynor and Hughes in Plymouth, retiring at the age of 88. She loved working for James Hughes and considered his family as her own. Betty enjoyed golfing, bowling, was an avid reader, loved shopping at Prange’s, and was Pine Haven’s favorite customer at the Corner Store. 

Betty is survived by her nieces, Jayne (Tom) Lorenz, Julie Kennedy, Robyn (Robert) Anderson, and SueAnn Kennedy; nephews, James Kennedy, Harold Pokel; and many great nieces and nephews. 

She is preceded in death by parents, sisters, Evelyn (Harold) Pokel, Margaret (Francis) Kennedy; brothers, James (Marjorie) Hodge, Robert (Neva) Hodge, and John Hodge; nephew, Jon Kennedy, John Hodge, and James Hodge.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. John Evangelist Catholic Parish in Kohler on Thursday, April 18, 2024, at 11:00am. All are welcome to view a livestream of the service by visiting Betty’s obituary page at wenigfh.com She will be laid to rest at St. John the Baptist Catholic Cemetery in Plymouth.

Visitation will be held at church from 10:00am until the time of mass.

Memorials are appreciated in Betty’s name to Pine Haven Christian Communities or Sharon S. Richardson Community Hospice.
