Ernst Wehrmann

Ernst P. Wehrmann, formerly of the town of Mosel, passed away Sunday morning, June 20, 2021 at Sharon S. Richardson Community Hospice. He was 82 years old.

Ernst was born June 6, 1939 in the town of Mosel, son of Herbert and Aurelia (nee Heuer) Wehrmann. He was a 1959 graduate of Howards Grove High School where he played baseball from 1955-1958, including the 1958 co-championship team. His high school baseball stories were some of his favorite memories. He went on to serve his country in the United States Army in Korea. He proudly worked on the family dairy farm for many years.

Ernst was a longtime member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Howards Grove, as well as the Franklin American Legion and a 28 year volunteer with the Haven Fire Department. He enjoyed baseball, fishing and time spent on the farm.

Ernst is survived by his niece Deb (Mark) Saladin of Hartland and nephews: Twigg (Paulette) Wehrmann of SD, Dean (Christine) Wehrmann of Juneau and Scott (Sally) Wehrmann of Watertown; other relatives and friends. He is preceded in death by his brother Frederick Wehrmann and nephew Perry Wehrmann.

Funeral Services will be held at 11:00AM on Saturday, June 26, 2021 at Wenig Funeral Home in Sheboygan Falls with Pastor Bergelin officiating. The family will receive visitors at the funeral home on Saturday from 10:30-11:00AM. He will be laid to rest at Trinity Lutheran Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to Trinity Lutheran Church in Howards Grove.
