Ethel A. Harmelink, 96, of 610 Mark Ave., Sheboygan Falls, died Thursday, May 10, 2007 at Meadow View Manor Nursing Home. She was born July 24, 1910 in the Town of Lima, a daughter of the late Matthew and Elizabeth (Daane) Lammers. Ethel was a graduate of Oostburg High School. She was a shoe inspector of Musebeck Shoe Manufacturing. On June 20, 1929 she married William Bruggink. He preceded her in death on July 16, 1978. She married Clarence Obbink on April 27, 1981 who preceded her in death on November 14, 1981. On February 14, 1984, Ethel married John Harmelink. He preceded her in death on October 30, 2001. Ethel was a founding member of Calvary OPC in Cedar Grove where she was a member of various organizations. Ethel lived in Hawarden, Iowa for many years where she volunteered at the Community Thrift Store. She enjoyed crafts, crocheting, playing cards and square dancing. Survivors include three sons, LeRoy (Nola) Bruggink of Brooksville, Fla., Ronald (Marjorie) Bruggink of Gibbsville, Wayne (Joan) Bruggink of Cedar Grove; 10 grandchildren, Michael (Marjorie) Bruggink, Paul (Susan) Bruggink, Jeffrey (Hope) Bruggink, Bill (Pam) Bruggink, Bradley Bruggink, Brian (Robin) Bruggink, Brenda (Tim) Grepentrog, Bruce Bruggink, Robert (Michele) Bruggink, Susan (Dan) Nett; 20 great grandchildren, step daughters, Evelyn Ericson, Julia (Don) Hummel, Ruth (Jerry) Carrico; a stepson, Don (JoAnn) Harmelink; seven step grandchildren; nine step great grandchildren; and one brother, Dale (Eleanor) Lammers of Eldon, MO. She was preceded in death by her three husbands, one sister, Lavina Eernisse, one brother Earl (Janet) Lammers, and a step grandchild. Funeral services will be held on Monday, May 14, 2007 at 1:30 p.m. at Calvary OPC, with the Rev. Ronald L. Beabout, pastor, officiating. Family services will precede at 1:15 p.m. Burial will take place at Union Cemetery. Friends may call at the Wenig Funeral Home in Oostburg on Sunday, May 13, 2007 from 4-8 p.m. and on Monday at the church from noon until the time of the family service at 1:15 p.m.. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established in her name for Calvary OPC.
