George Neerhof

George A. Neerhof, 62, passed away on Tuesday morning, December 28, 2010 at Rocky Knoll Health Care Center. George was born on January 9, 1948 in Sheboygan, son of Jerome and Edith (Arthur) Neerhof. He was a 1966 graduate of Oostburg High School. George was employed with RCS in Sheboygan from 1972 until the time of his death. George was a lifelong member of Hingham Reformed Church. He was active in 4-H when he was younger. George participated in soccer and track with Special Olympics and went to LSU to compete with the National Championship Soccer Team. He also enjoyed gardening, yard work, life on the farm and watching the Green Bay Packers and UW Badgers. George is survived by his two brothers, Lee (Lorna) Neerhof of Neenah and Fred (Leann) Neerhof of Sheboygan Falls; seven nieces and nephews; three great-nieces and one great-nephew. George was preceded in death by his parents. Funeral services will be held on Friday, December 31, 2010 at 11:00 am at Hingham Reformed Church with Rev. Steven Bakker officiating. Burial will take place in Hingham Cemetery in the Town of Lima. Relatives and friends may call at the church on Friday from 9:00 until the time of the service at 11:00 am. A memorial fund has been established in George's name for RCS of Sheboygan.
