Gerald Edwin Selk, 76, of Sheboygan Falls, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, January 17, 2026, at St. Luke’s Hospital in Milwaukee. He leaves behind a lifetime of memories, laughter, and stories that will be retold for years to come.
Jerry was born to late Edward and Shirley (Grebe) Selk on January 20, 1949, in Plymouth. He graduated from Sheboygan Falls High School in 1967.
On April 12, 1969, he was united in marriage to Judith DeZwarte.
Jerry was a member and president for many years of St. Thomas Lutheran Town Lima. He was also a member of the Sheboygan Falls Lions Club for over 25 years
Known for his quick wit and unmistakable playful banter, Jerry never missed an opportunity to make others laugh. He was outgoing, social, and could strike up a conversation with just about anyone often leaving them smiling or shaking their head with a grin. Life was meant to be enjoyed, and he made sure to do just that.
A passionate snowmobile enthusiast and proud trail boss, Jerry felt most at home outdoors, especially when surrounded by friends, fresh snow, and the thrill of the ride. When the snow melted, he could often be found pontooning around Lake Minocqua, enjoying the water, good company, and the simple pleasure of being outdoors.
Jerry and his wife, Judy, were proud owners of Falls Glass, running the business side by side for many years.
Above all else, Jerry loved his wife, Judy, dearly. They shared over 50 years of marriage, a lifetime built on love, laughter, and unwavering devotion. Judy was the center of his world, and his love for her was evident in everything he did.
Jerry leaves behind his wife, Judy; three sons, James, Jonathan, and Jeff; and grandchildren, all of whom will cherish his memory. He will be remembered for his humor, his larger-than-life personality, and the joy he brought into the lives to those who knew him.
Jerry is survived by his wife of 56 years, Judy; sons, James Selk of Charlotte, NC, Jonathan (Heather) Selk and Jeff (Alyssa) Selk, both of Sheboygan Falls; grandchildren: Joshua, Justine, Jonas, Ezekiel, Andrew, and Cedar Selk; brother, Ray (Debra) Selk of Parnell; mother-in-law, Wanda DeZwarte; brothers-in-law, Charles (Yvonne) DeZwarte and Donald DeZwarte; good buddies, Wendell Schreurs and Lee Scheffner; nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
A memorial service to celebrate Jerry’s life will be held at Wenig Funeral Home in Oostburg on Saturday, January 24, 2026, at 3:00pm.
Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 11:00am until 2:45pm.
