Gerald “Jerry” W. Swart, 82, of Sheboygan Falls, entered eternal peace on January 27, 2026, at Sharon Richardson Hospice, welcomed by his Lord and Savior and reunited with his beloved wife, Susan.
Jerry was born on March 25, 1943, and grew up in Hingham, Wisconsin. He graduated from Oostburg High School in 1961 and went on to attend Dunwoody Industrial Institute in Minneapolis, where he studied mechanical drafting.
On August 29, 1964, Jerry married the love of his life, Susan E. Mueller, at Hingham Reformed Church. Together, they built a life rooted in love, family, faith, and steady devotion. They shared 61 beautiful years of marriage before Susan passed away last September.
Jerry worked as a drafter at Bemis Manufacturing for over 30 years. He was proudly listed as an inventor on several injection molding patents.
Family was at the center of Jerry’s life. He cherished gatherings, holidays, and time spent making memories, especially during camping trips with family. He was often moving around the house, fixing things, and working on projects, and in later years found great joy in woodworking, creating cherished pieces for his family.
Jerry and Susan enjoyed traveling and spent many winters in Arizona, where they created unforgettable memories and family traditions. Jerry enjoyed playing cards, hiking, golfing, seeing the Christmas lights, seeking out the wild horses, and adventuring around the desert.
Jerry is survived by his daughters, Kristine (Henry) Fritsch of Sheboygan Falls and Julia Unger of West Allis; and his grandchildren, Elizabeth Fritsch of Racine, Jonathan Fritsch of Sheboygan Falls, and Jacob Unger of West Allis. He is further survived by his siblings, David (Barbara) Swart of Rochester, MN, and Bonnie (John) Peter of Brandon, FL; his in-laws Ralph Heideman of Hingham, Carla Swart of Sioux Falls, SD, Joan Swart of Hingham, and Judy (Neil) Jensema of Sheboygan Falls; as well as many dear cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Susan E. Swart; his parents, William and Elizabeth Swart; and his siblings, Robert Swart, Philip Swart, and Miriam Heideman. He is also remembered by many extended family members and friends who were dear to him.
Jerry’s faith guided him throughout his life, and his family takes comfort in knowing he is now reunited with Susan, together again in peace.
The family wishes to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the compassionate staff and nurses at Pine Haven, who provided exceptional care and kindness to Jerry, as well as to the nurses and staff at Sharon Richardson Hospice for their support and comfort in his final days.
A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00am on Tuesday, February 3, 2026, at First Reformed Church in Sheboygan Falls with Pastor Brad Veenendaal officiating. The family will receive visitors at the church on Tuesday from 9:00am until the time of service. He will be laid to rest at Greenlawn Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to Sharon S. Richardson Community Hospice.
