Harlen Beest

Harlen Gene Te Beest, 70, of Sheboygan, passed away on Monday, October 22, 2018, at Aurora Sheboygan Memorial Medical Center. Harlen was born on August 11, 1948, in Sheboygan, WI to Orien and Margaret (Schreurs) Te Beest. He attended Cedar Grove High School. He served in the United States Army in Vietnam from 1968 until 1970.On April 29, 1989, Harlen married Candy Conrad in Cedar Grove. Harlen worked at Kettle Lakes Cooperative for over 40 years. He enjoyed bowling, fishing, golfing, playing baseball, and playing cards and cribbage. He and his family cherished spending time together up north at their cottage.  Harlen is survived by his loving wife, Candy Te Beest of Sheboygan; step-son, Jamie (Katie) Ahrens of Adell; two grandchildren, Brady Ahrens, and Riley Ahrens; five brothers, David (Sandi) Te Beest, Carl (Julie) Te Beest, Dean (Linda) Te Beest, Dennis Te Beest, James Te Beest; two sisters, Judy (Roger) Gutschow, Brenda (Marty) Wener; mother-in-law, Phyllis Conrad; brother-in-law, Randy Conrad; sister-in-law, Christine Born; two beloved aunts, Beverley Ten Haken, and Florence Born. He is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.Harlen was preceded in death by his parents, Orien & Margaret Te Beest, and a brother, Gary Te Beest.  A private funeral service to celebrate Harlen's life will be held.
