Helen Anderson

Helen E. Anderson, 95, of 930 N. 6th St., Sheboygan, formerly of Wausau, died Wednesday, April 19, 2006 at Sheboygan Senior Community. She was born October 16, 1910 in Chicago, the daughter of the late George and Elizabeth (Lemke) Nicholson. She attended school in Chicago. On May 6, 1939, Helen married Nels Anderson in Peshtigo. He preceded her in death on June 1, 1985. Helen was a nursing aide for 16 years at Wausau Colonial Manor. She and her husband owned and operated a farm in Marathon County for many years. She was a member of the Eastern Star and enjoyed knitting, dancing, singing, cooking and baking, spending time with her family, card playing and traveling. Survivors include three daughters, Gloria (Marshall) Shird of Sheboygan Falls, Deborah (Heinz) Hackl of Sheboygan, Beth (Ben) Koerten of Barnington, IL; five grandsons and two great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held on Monday, April 24, 2006 at 1:00 p.m. at Beaver American Lutheran Church in Beaver, Wis., with the Rev. Nicholas Johannes, officiating. Burial will take place at Beaver American Lutheran Cemetery. Friends may call at the church on Monday, from noon until the time of services.
