James Bourne

James Spencer Bourne, 89, of Oostburg, passed away on Monday, November 22, 2021. He was born on June 4, 1932.

Jim loved walking and traveling through life with his beloved wife Ginny. Jim and Ginny were married on July 31st of 1952 at Chapel of the Cross in Bay View (Milwaukee) Wisconsin. They had 69 wonderful years of loving marriage together. His passion for driving led him to a nearly 40-year career behind the wheel of a tractor trailer truck as well as countless driving vacations with his family, visiting every state in the lower 48 and many national, state and local parks.

Jim and Ginny have a memorial bench at Harrington Beach State Park Quarry in Belgium. Jim was a quiet, generous, honest family man. Jim loved to read, play cards, and visit with everyone. Jim will be missed by his family and friends.

Jim was a proud Marine who served his country from 1952 to 1954. He went to Boot Camp in San Diego at Camp Pendleton where he was trained as a radio operator.

Jim is survived by his beloved wife, Virginia “Ginny” Audrey (Cassabaum) Bourne; children, James (Marie), William (Heidi), Robert (Danny), Jean (Dawn), and Thomas (Teresa); grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nephews, nieces, and friends.

Jim was preceded in death by his father, James Harrington and mother, Edna (Kuhnke) Bourne; and sister, Gladys Mary Bourne.

Private services were held on Friday November 26th.
