James Louis Faucher

James (Jim) Louis Faucher peacefully entered eternal life on the morning of June 21, 2025, at the age of 83. He was born on August 10,1941 to the late Louis and Helen (Petrack) Faucher, in Marshfield, Wisconsin.

Jim attended Spencer Schools. He met the love of his life, Shirley Hoffmann through mutual friends. They were married on May 30, 1960. Shortly thereafter, they moved to Waldo where they raised their four children, Teresa (Mark) Pries, Laurie Faucher, James Jr, and Julie Johnson. Jim was employed at Kohler Co. in the Wisconsin Diecast Division as a Foundry Cell Operator, having retired in 2006 with 41 years of service and a member of the Quarter Century Club.

Jim cherished the time spent with family, whether it be summer picnics and camping at Mauthe Lake, or the hours spent sledding on their property in the winter, there was always laughter and fun for everyone. Many Saturday nights were spent playing Sheepshead with his brothers and their wives or having a nice cool dip in the backyard swimming pool. The littlest members of the family could always be found sitting on Jim’s lap. He had that way of making them feel safe and loved, and maybe a cookie could be had.

Jim is survived by his wife, Shirley, and his children Teresa (Mark) Pries and Julie Johnson. His grandchildren Justin Goessl, Hayley Lindberg, Matthew Wolfert (fiancé Jordan), Ashley (Jett) Leszewski, Jason (Nicki) Johnson, Brittany (Jamie) Griepentrog, and Brianna Schreffler. Jim’s Great Grandchildren are Holden Lindberg, Liam Allen, Brinley Wolfert and Amelia Wolfert. Other survivors include his brothers, Richard (Maureen), Donald (Gloria), David (Cindy), Dennis (Ronnie) of Sheboygan and sisters Darlene Irish of Rome, New York, Marie Strey of Neillsville and Kathy Lepori of Spencer. Jim is also survived by sister-in-laws Caroline (Thomas) Williams of Muskego, and Ida (Bob) Jeske of Weyauwega. In addition, there are numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents preceding him in death, he was also preceded by his children, Laurie and James Jr., his sisters and their spouses, Joan (John) Hansen, Jean (Robert) Berkholtz, and Marion (Harold) Fleischmann, and brothers-in-law Ed Irish, Richard Strey, Steve Lepori and James Hoffmann along with in-laws Edmund and Sadie Hoffmann.

A memorial service will be held for Jim at Wenig Funeral Home in Sheboygan Falls on Friday, June 27, 2025, at 11:00am. He will be laid to rest at St. Rose of Lima Cemetery in the Town of Lima.

Relatives and friends may greet the family at the funeral home from 9:00am until the time of service.

To those left behind, “Do not let your hearts be troubled. You believe in God; believe also in me. My father’s house has many rooms, if that were not so, would I have told you that I am going there to prepare a place for you? And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with me that you also may be where I am.” – John 14:1-3
