Jean Steinhardt

Jean Ann Steinhardt, 74, of Plymouth, passed away on Saturday, June 26, 2021, at Sharon S. Richardson Community Hospice.

Jean was born to Lloyd and Marion (Meerdink) Walvoord on January 2, 1947 in Sheboygan. She graduated from Cedar Grove High School in 1965.

She was former member of First Reformed Church in Cedar Grove. Jean enjoyed gardening, fishing, and playing cards with family, especially Rook and Sheepshead. She always looked forward to attending the stock car races in Plymouth with her son, Michael. Jean enjoyed going to Generation Center in Plymouth.

Jean is survived by her son, Michael Steinhardt of Plymouth; siblings: Barbara (Wayne) Claerbout of Oostburg, Kenneth (Jeanne) Walvoord of Manitowoc, Donna (Jerry) Schneider of Hartford, Roger Walvoord of Cedar Grove, Gary (Robyn) Walvoord of Kansasville, Randall (Linda) Walvoord of Oostburg, Mary (Jim) Roethel of Oostburg. She is further survived by her aunt, Doris Carlson; uncle, A. Glenn (Sharon) Meerdink; many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and dear friend, Barbara Ernst.

Jean was preceded in death by her parents, aunts: Dorothy (Wallace) TenPas, Evelyn (Howard) LeMahieu; uncles: LaMont (Arlene) Daane, Earl (Nelda) Walvoord, Ken Carlson; and nephew, Shawn Walvoord.

A funeral service to celebrate Jean's life will be held at Wenig Funeral Home in Oostburg on Saturday, July 17, 2021, at 12:00pm. Family and friends may greet the family at the funeral home from 10:00 am until the time of service at 12:00 pm. Burial will take place at Oostburg Cemetery.

Memorial contributions can be made in her name to HSHS St. Nicholas Hospital for their Home Health and Hospice Care.
