Jeanette Rieth

Jeanette Marie Rieth, 83, of Sheboygan, passed away on Wednesday, October 27, 2021, at Terrace Place.

Jeanette M. Schmitt was born to George & Mary Schmitt on March 15, 1938. She was a 1956 graduate of Central High School in Sheboygan. On September 28, 1960, she married Roger W. Rieth in Cleveland.

Jeanette’s life revolved around others. She was a busy and dedicated wife, mother, and grandmother and cherished her special relationship with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Their family loved their visits together and the special treats Jeanette would make for them- especially her famous Jell-o molds.  Above all, Jeanette cherished spending time with her family. She was soft-spoken, caring, and will be dearly missed.

Jeanette is survived by her daughter, Joan (Grady Jr.) Clark of Glendale; four sons, Thomas Rieth of Cleveland, Joseph Rieth of Elkhart Lake, James (Sherry) Rieth of Howards Grove, and Daniel Rieth of Waldo; ten grandchildren, Grady IV (friend Shelbie) Clark, Alex Clark, Andrew (Kim) Rieth, Randy (Marla) Penney Jr., Angela (Greg) Kemp, Shannon (fiancé, Bradley) Busse, April (Jacob) Hermann, Mark (Cassie) Rieth, Kyle (Jessica) Arpke, and Justice (fiancé, Emma) Rieth; 11 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren. She is further survived by her sisters, Mary Ann Salm of Cleveland, Dorothy Bogenschuetz of Sheboygan, Margaret (Tom) Steinbruecker of Green Bay, Catherine Schmitt of Sheboygan, Marlene (Richard) Boje of Kiel and Georgianne (Bob) Roeh of Cleveland; brothers, James (Connie) Schmitt of Sheboygan and Ralph (Jan) Schmitt of Elkhart Lake; sisters-in-law, Mary Ann (DuWayne) Buelow of New Holstein, and Diane (Tom) Brunner of Manitowoc; brother-in-law, Nicholas (Betty) Rieth of Sheboygan Falls; nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

Jeanette was preceded in death by her beloved husband; parents, brother, Charles (Diane) Schmitt, and brother-in-law, Donald Salm.

Funeral services to celebrate Jeanette's life will be held on Monday, November 1, 2021, at 2:00 pm at the Wenig Funeral Homes of Sheboygan Falls with Fr. Bob Lotz officiating. Visitation will take place from 11:00 am until the time of service at 2:00 pm. Entombment will take place at the Gardens of Peace Mausoleum in the Town of Sheboygan.

A memorial fund has been established in Jeanette's name.
