Jeffrey M. Schaller

Jeffrey M. Schaller passed away Friday, August 11, 2023 at Sheboygan Senior Community surrounded by his family after a courageous battle with cancer.

Jeff was born April 15, 1960 in Sheboygan County, the son of Roman Sr. and Loretta (Mauer) Schaller. He attended Sheboygan Falls School District. Jeff dedicated his working years in manufacturing at local businesses including Medalist Foundry, Richardson Bros., Kohler Company and most recently Saco Polymers.

Jeff was a member of Koenigs Conservation Club and Sheboygan Falls Conservation Club. An avid outdoorsman, Jeff enjoyed deer  and turkey hunting, fishing, snowmobiling, trapshooting, working on cars, RC airplanes, and watching educational youtube videos about his interests and passions. You could always find him outside building or tinkering with something. He cherished time spent with his family, and hunting and fishing with his son. His family will remember his strength and perseverance through his health battles.

Jeff is survived by wife Mary Jo Knoebel, children: Sarah (Tyler) Abel and Jesse (Nichole DenBoer) Schaller and grandchildren: Jordy and Camden Abel and Gracelynn Schaller. He is further survived by his brothers: Jim (Deb) Schaller, Mike (Tammy) Schaller, Steve Schaller, Tim Schaller and David (Lorena) Schaller; sisters: Julie Schmidt, Diane (David) Knaus, Beverly (Wayne) Henke, Sharon (Dale) Peterson, Sue Carpenter, Debbie Lawrence, Pat (Gordon) Rammer and Jackie (Keith) Oppeneer; sister-in-law Rosemary Schaller; parents-in-law Susan and James Knoebel; brother-in-law Rick (Brenda) Knoebel; sister-in-law Karen (Derrick) Yahnke; other relatives and friends.

He is preceded in death by his parents Roman Sr. and Loretta, brother Roman Schaller Jr., brothers-in-law Wally Schmidt and Curt Lawrence; nephews Gordon Rammer III, Brian Schmidt and Dusty Knaus and niece Suzanne Carpenter.

A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00PM on Friday, August 18, 2023 at Wenig Funeral Home, 711 Broadway in Sheboygan Falls. Pastor Brad Veenendaal will officiate. Jeff will be laid to rest at St. Mary’s Cemetery in Sheboygan Falls. The family will receive visitors at the funeral home on Friday 11:00AM-2:00PM.

Memorials are suggested to the Sheboygan County Humane Society in Jeff’s name.
