Jeffrey Schmidtke

Jeffrey Carl Schmidtke, 50, of Sheboygan Falls, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, July 27, 2020, at home.Jeff was born on April 24, 1970, in Sheboygan, WI to Norman and Janice (Zirbel) Schmidtke. He was a graduate of Sheboygan Falls High School. Jeff was employed in the kitchen at a few local restaurants. He was also a volunteer fire fighter for the Town of Sheboygan Fire Department for many years. More recently, he was the primary caregiver for his mother.He was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Sheboygan Falls. He was also a member of the 4H Ourtown Orioles and Town of Sheboygan Falls Fire Department. He enjoyed visiting local Fire Department wherever he went and collecting memorabilia, learning about WWII, and volunteering at the Sheboygan Falls Historical Resource Center, where he especially liked working on his family's genealogy. Jeff is survived by his mother, Janice; two brothers, Jasen (Suzanne) Schmidtke and James B. Schmidtke; two uncles, Larry (Anne) Schmidtke and Kenneth Schmidtke; aunts, Rosie Schmidtke and Joanne Kintopf; and many cousins. Jeff was preceded in death by his father, Norman; uncles, William Zirbel, Ronnie (Marlene) Schmidtke, Gerald Schmidtke and John Kintopf; aunt, Janis Schmidtke; cousin, John Kintopf Jr.; and grandparents, Elmer & Mabel Zirbel and John & Dora Schmidtke.A graveside service to celebrate Jeff's life will be held on Friday, August 7, 2020 at 10:30 am at Sheboygan Falls Cemetery with Pastor Tom Gudmundson officiating.A memorial fund is being established in his name.For online condolences and additional information please visit www.wenigfh.com.
