Jerome Budahn

February 29, 1932 — April 27, 2022

Sheboygan Falls

Jerome A. Budahn, 90, passed away Wednesday evening, April 27, 2022 at Sharon S. Richardson Community Hospice.

Jerome was born February 29, 1932 in Marshfield, the son of Arthur and Gladys (nee Willner) Budahn. With a leap year birthday, Jerome loved to joke that he was only 22, making him younger than his children and grandchildren. He attended school in Marshfield and later Sheboygan Falls.

On June 23, 1951 he was united in marriage with the love of his life, Jeanne Leta at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Sheboygan Falls. The couple celebrated 65 years together before Jeanne passed in 2016.

For over 30 years, Jerome worked in construction at Tomasini Contractors. He retired in 1988. After retirement, Jerome and Jeanne traveled the United States in their motor home, visiting every state in the continental United States. An avid Wisconsin sports fan, Jerome enjoyed watching Brewer, Packer and Bucks (especially Giannis!) games with his son Jerome. He also enjoyed golfing and spending time with his family.

Jerome is survived by his children: Sharon (Allan) Willadsen, Jerome Budahn, Jr., Marjorie Budahn (Joe Thompson) and Debra (Robert Jr.) Ehrlich; grandchildren: Stacey (Scott) Moshier, Stephanie (Michael) Leavitt, Robert III (Erin) Ehrlich and Heather Ehrlich Scheer; 6 great-grandchildren; sisters Jacklyn Lawrence and Marlene (Warren) Schneider; many family and friends.

He is reunited with his wife Jeanne, grandson Jeremy Budahn and sister Dolores Heidenreiter.

Private family services will be held, and Jerome will be laid to rest at Greenlawn Memorial Park – Garden of Peace.

Memorials are suggested to Sharon S. Richardson Community Hospice.
