Gerald “Jerry” Lee Huibregtse, 85, of Sheboygan Falls, passed away peacefully at home with family by his side on October 12, 2023. Jerry was born to John and Helen (Duerloo) Huibregtse on May 14, 1938, in Sheboygan Falls. He was a 1958 graduate from Sheboygan Falls High School.

Jerry married Kathleen “Kay” Ferguson on July 19, 1958, at St. Paul Lutheran Church, Sheboygan Falls. They had three children: Robin, Diane and Timothy and a special dog, Gracie.

Jerry was a dedicated employee of Kohler Company for over 36 years before retiring in the summer of 2000.  

Jerry was an avid Wisconsin sports fan, but an even more proud supporter of the sports his children and grandchildren were involved in. Jerry enjoyed hunting, fishing, bowling, golfing, camping, playing cards, and spending time with his family and friends. He was a member and past president of the Sheboygan Falls Jaycee’s and was a lifelong member and active volunteer of St. Paul Lutheran Church.  

Jerry is survived by daughters, Robin Miller of Wauwatosa and Diane Orrico of Frisco, TX; son, Timothy (Kathryn Jens) Huibregtse of Grafton; seven grandchildren, Matthew Miller, Elizabeth (Angel) Acevedo, Zachary (Anna) Orrico, Madelyne, Adam, Samuel and Alexander Huibregtse; four great-grandchildren, Vincent and Josephine Acevedo, and Ava Grace and Lia Marie Orrico; sisters, Marge Wangemann, Sally Vreeke; sisters-in-law, Mary Jane Huibregtse, Sandra (Cedric Ferrett) Williams. He is further survived by many family and friends.

Jerry was preceded in death by his loving wife of 62 years, Kay; parents, John and Helen Huibregtse; parents-in-law, Russell and Grace Ferguson; brothers, Roland (Carolyn) Huibregtse, Clarence Huibregtse, Ted Wangemann, Roger Vreeke, and Dale (Dolly) Huibregtse; and granddaughter, Hannah Miller.

A memorial service to celebrate his life will take place at St Paul Lutheran Church of Sheboygan Falls on Monday, October 16, 2023, at 12:00 pm with Pastor Robert Schrader. Friends and family may greet for a time of visitation from 10:00 am until the time of service at 12:00 pm. Inurnment will follow at Sheboygan Falls Cemetery beside his wife, Kay.

Memorial contributions can be made in his name to Sharon S. Richardson Community Hospice.
