With a heart full of love and a life dedicated to friends and family, Judith (Judy) Lee Brunnich passed away peacefully at home on April 27, 2026, in Sheboygan Falls. She is now reunited in eternal peace with her cherished husband, Eric, who preceded her in death in 2024. Surrounded by the love of her children and the peace of her home, Judy spent her final days being cared for by her son, Brian, whose unwavering support allowed her to transition with dignity, comfort, and most importantly, humor.
Judy was born on August 1, 1937, in Superior, WI to Karl and Gladys Kline. Her childhood was spent summering at the family cabin on Swenson Lake. In her later years, she enjoyed reminiscing about her pesky little brother, Denny, and her Shetland pony, affectionately named Swenson. She married Harold Anderson in 1958, and they went on to have four beautiful children. They relocated to Sheboygan in 1968, where Judy cultivated an active social life and fostered many treasured friendships. Though Judy and Harold eventually parted ways, her dedication to her family remained intact. She began working as a part-time secretary at St. Peter Lutheran Church and transitioned to a full-time position as a confidential secretary at Kohler Company, retiring after 24 years of dedicated service.
Judy was incredibly involved in her church community at St. Peter Lutheran, where she served as the pianist and organist for 40 years. With her passion for music, Judy and her friends founded “Sisters of the Moonlight,” and she was an active member of her church choir and the Sheboygan Symphony Chorus.
It was at church that she met and later married Eric. As their partnership blossomed, so did their shared appreciation for music, faith, and community. Judy seamlessly welcomed Eric’s daughter, Gabie, into the family.
Judy was a woman of warmth, comfort, and kindness. Her home was bursting with love, and her doors were always open to her friends and family. From sleepovers to lunch dates, shopping trips to tea parties, she had a knack for making ordinary things whimsical.
Judy’s greatest pride was her family. She was a devoted mother and a cherished grandmother who took immense joy in watching her legacy grow. She is survived by her children: Wendy (John) Tauscheck, Todd (Barb) Anderson, Scott Anderson, Brian Anderson, and Gabriel (Mickaël) Brunnich Dunand.
Her memory will be kept alive by her grandchildren: Erika (Rocklin) Farquhar, Emily Tauscheck, Ariana (Derek) Buehner, Katelyn Anderson, Claire Anderson, Noah Anderson, Raphaël Dunand, and Amaël Dunand; and her great-grandchildren, Taylor and Kora Farquhar. She is further survived by her brother, Denny (Ginny) Kline.
The family extends a special, heartfelt thank you to Brian and his friend Judy Parkin. Brian’s tireless care for both Judy and Eric in their final years was a profound act of love that the family will never forget.
A celebration of Judy's life will be held on Monday, August 10th, 2026 at 11:00 am at First United Lutheran Church in Sheboygan. Visitation will be held at the church from 10:00 am until the time of service. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Sharon S. Richardson Community Hospice.
