Karri L. Krier, 37, of Oostburg passed away on Monday, October 22, 2018 at Sharon S. Richardson Community Hospice in Sheboygan Falls surrounded by her family after a courageous battle with cancer.Karri was born on June 10, 1981, in Sheboygan to Craig and LuAnn (Ludens) Mentink. She was a 1999 graduate of Oostburg High School and graduated in 2012 from UW - Oshkosh with her Bachelor's Degree in Education. On June 12, 2004, Karri married Joel Krier at First Reformed Church in Oostburg. Karri was a 4th-grade teacher for the Oostburg School District. Karri was a member of First Reformed Church in Oostburg, where she taught Sunday school. She enjoyed playing volleyball, attending her children's activities and loved spending time with her family, especially her children. Karri is survived by her husband, Joel; three children, Ava, Nola, and Isaac; her parents, Craig and LuAnn Mentink; one sister, Tracy (Shawn) Richards; one brother, Kevin (Katie) Mentink; parents-in-law, Donald and Alice Krier; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, David (Jennifer) Krier, Sarah (Richard) Wassink, Susan (Kevin) Klujeske, Rachel (Arvin) Montes, Andy (Trisha) Krier, and Jesse (Krista) Krier; her grandpa, Arvin Mentink; nieces and nephews, Kylee, Ian, Liam, Connor, Quinn, Grayson, Amber, Nicholas, Alison, Jacob, Alyssa, Zach, Megan, Matthew, Lucas, Anthony, Ashlyn, Griffin, Clara and Lily. Karri is further survived by aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives, and dear friends. Karri was preceded in death by her grandmother, Helen Mentink; and grandparents, Harold (Esther) Ludens. A funeral service to celebrate Karri's life will be held on Saturday, October 27, 2018, at the First Reformed Church in Oostburg at 11 am with Rev. Brian Taylor officiating. Burial will be at Union Cemetery in the town of Holland.Relatives and friends may greet the family on Friday, October 26, 2018, at the First Reformed Church from 3-8pm and again on Saturday, October 27, 2018, at the CHURCH from 9 am until the time of service at 11 am. A memorial fund is being established for her children's education fund.The family wishes to extend a heartfelt thank you to all the doctors and nurses at Aurora Baycare in Green Bay, and the nurses and staff at Sharon S.
