Kenneth Clarence Seider, 79, of Sheboygan Falls, passed away on Thursday, September 19, 2024, at LakeHouse of Sheboygan.
Ken was born March 18, 1945, in Sheboygan, WI: the youngest son of Arno and Leona Seider. He attended La Follett and Batavia grade schools. He graduated from Plymouth High School and went on to attend UW Platteville and Lakeland College. He received his apprenticeship for Machinery at Lakeshore Technical College. For twenty years, Ken served his country in the National Guard. Ken worked for Pemco for forty years as a machinist, where they called him the “problem-solver” because of his ability to work around obstacles. Even in his later years in life, Ken created gadgets and tools to help him around the house.
Ken married Kathy Raetz on April 30, 1966, and had two daughters: Kris and Kim. On July 24, 1982, Ken married Linda Kemppainen and adopted her son, Craig. In 1984, they had a daughter, Rebecca. Ken was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Sheboygan Falls, where he served as an usher.
Ken enjoyed traveling and visited many places in the United States. In his later years, he enjoyed collecting model farm tractors and spending time with his grandchildren.
Kenneth is survived by his children: Kris (Tim) Jahnke, Kim (Steve) Rauwerdink, Craig (Missy) Seider and Becky (Eric) Phelan. He is also survived by his grandchildren: Angela (Derrick) Ten Dolle, Renee Rauwerdink (fiancé Sam Hendrikse), Sam Rauwerdink, Elaina Seider, Patrick Phelan and one great grandchild on the way. He is also survived by his brother Lyle Seider and brother-in-law Tom (Dee) Kemppainen.
Ken was preceded in death by his parents, Arno and Leona, his wife Linda, his brother Virgil (Marlys) Seider, his sisters Vivian (Ralph) Zinkgraf and Betty (Myron) Spielvogel and his sister-in-law Barbara Seider.
A funeral service to celebrate Ken’s life will be held on Friday, September 27, 2024, at Wenig Funeral Home in Sheboygan Falls at 3:30pm. A burial will take place at Sheboygan Falls Cemetery.
Relatives and friends may greet the family at Wenig Funeral Home in Sheboygan Falls on Friday from 1:30pm until the time of service.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund is being established in Ken’s name for St. Paul Lutheran Church in Sheboygan Falls or Sheboygan County Humane Society.
Ken’s family wishes to extend a special thank you to Dr. Bettag and his staff, as well as the staff at LakeHouse Sheboygan and Compassus Hospice for their compassionate care.
