Kenneth W. Te Winkel, 92 of Sheboygan Falls, went to his Eternal Home on Saturday, October 25, 2025, at Aurora Medical Center – Sheboygan.
Ken was born on July 17, 1933, to Clarence and Florence (Oonk) Te Winkel in the Town of Lima. He graduated from Oostburg High School in 1951.
On June 2, 1956, Ken married Judith Wilke at Gibbsville Reformed Church. The couple lived in the town of Lima, where they raised their daughters.
Ken went on to serve his country in the US Army from 1956-1958. He was employed at H.C. Prange for many years, working in the warehouse before working at Ongna Wood Products until his retirement. Ken enjoyed farming part-time in addition to his full-time jobs. In his retirement, Ken worked various part-time jobs.
Ken was a faithful member of Gibbsville Reformed Church, serving numerous terms as elder and deacon. Ken and Judy together generously volunteered for Meals on Wheels for over 20 years and took pride in cleaning up trash alongside their road. He enjoyed playing baseball, slow pitch, golf, bowling, and biking. He participated in Senior Olympics and picked up running later in life, even finishing the Boston Marathon. Ken enjoyed camping, traveling, farming, and crossword puzzles. He loved spending time with his wife, Judy and their family.
Ken is survived by his three daughters: Deborah (Brian) Nyenhuis of Oostburg, Elizabeth (Paul) Thompto of Brookfield and Kathleen (Zachary) Moore of Arlington, TX. He is further survived by 8 grandkids: Rebekah Nyenhuis, Peter (Tianna) and Thomas (Jill) Nyenhuis, Daniel (Kathleen) and David Thompto, and Samuel (Sydney), Casey (Juan Jose Siluan Montes) and Abby Moore; eleven great-grandchildren; sister, Marilyn DeBlaey of Oostburg; siblings-in-law, Louise (Francis) Koerber of Cleveland, WI, Frederick (Carolyn) Wilke of Fresno, CA; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Ken was preceded in death by his wife, Judy; infant daughter, Jean Marie Te Winkel; brother, Carl (Lois) Te Winkel; siblings-in-law: Norman DeBlaey, Margaret Hartlaub, Richard Wilke, Robert Wilke and James Wilke.
A funeral service to celebrate Ken’s life will be held at Wenig Funeral Home in Oostburg on Monday, November 3, 2025, at 4:30pm. He will be laid to rest by Judy at Gibbsville Cemetery.
Relatives and friends may greet the family at the funeral home on Monday from 2:30pm until the time of service.
In lieu of flowers, memorial funds are being established in his name for Sheboygan County Meals on Wheels.
