Kenneth A. Wirth

Kenneth Alfred Wirth, 91, of Sheboygan, died on Monday, February 9, 2026, at HSHS St. Nicholas Hospital.

Kenny was born on October 9, 1934, to Alfred and Alma (Steffes) Wirth in Marytown. He graduated from New Holstein High School. On October 10, 1959, he was united in marriage to Grace Roehrig, the love of his life. They moved to Sheboygan that same year where they built a legacy of love, family, and service over the next 66 years.

After initial service in the U.S. Army, Kenny began his 37+ year career in the pottery with the Kohler Co, ending as the Pottery Plant Manager. He wasn’t afraid of hard work, frequently saying “If you are going to do it, do it right.” He was known to have a good working relationship with Herb Kohler, whom he greatly respected, and brought many new products out of the pottery, while taking care of his co-workers, who he knew were the heart of the plant. Outside of work, Kenny spent his time golfing, playing sheepshead and other card games (he was a shrewd card player), gambling, and watching his sports teams faithfully. He was an avid fan of the Brewers and Packers, and attended many games of both, including attendance at the infamous Ice Bowl among his favorite (though freezing) memories.

Kenny is survived by his wife, Grace; children, Lori Kaczmarek (Tom), Kevin Wirth (Terri), Lisa Fissell (Doug) and Lucie Schulze (Matthew); grandchildren, Macy West (Matt), Jack Kaczmarek, Sam Kaczmarek, Chris Miller (Danielle Stutzman), Aaron Wirth (Michelle), Maggie Ornelas (David), Hannah Carrington (Bryce), Taylor Carestia (Brandon), Rachael Geller (Aaron), Cassie Fissell (Moriah), Jonathan Benson, Will Fissell, Lauren Benson, Hogan Schulze and Trinity Schulze; and great-grandchildren, Millie, Etta, Bruno, Liam, Cameron and Claretta. He is further survived by his sister-in-law Shirley Roehrig, his nieces and nephews, and many friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Alfred and Alma (Steffes) Wirth and his parents-in-law, Edgar and Salome (Casper) Roehrig, along with several brothers- and sisters-in-law.

A Memorial Mass for Kenny will be held at Holy Name of Jesus Catholic Church on Saturday, February 14, 2026, at 3:00p.m. Visitation will take place at church beginning at 1:00pm until the time of mass.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are appreciated in Kenny’s name to the North Side Christian Food Pantry or the PGA Junior League at Town & Country.

The Wirth family wishes to extend a heartfelt thank you to the staff and physicians at St. Nicholas Hospital who provided many years of compassionate care to Kenny.
