Kevin Lee Gabrielse

Kevin Lee Gabrielse, 43, of Oostburg, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, May 4, 2026.

Kevin was born on April 18, 1983, to Steven and Peggy (Markus) Gabrielse in Sheboygan. Kevin worked alongside his dad for many years at Cowboy and Son Recycling. Kevin enjoyed taking nature walks in the Kettles, mushroom hunting, gardening, and fishing. He loved taking pictures of nature and eating supper outside watching the sunset anytime he could. Kevin enjoyed mountain biking in his younger years and strumming his guitar, which he taught himself to play. He loved being an uncle to his nieces and nephews.

Kevin is survived by his parents, Steve and Peggy; siblings, Karl (Samantha) Gabrielse and Kristin Lohr; nephews: Carter and Waylen Gabrielse; nieces: Hannah, Kaitlyn, and Emily Lohr; his dog, Savannah; grandma, Shirley (Del) Dassow; aunts and uncles: Pat (Roy) Ingelse, Tammy Daane, Tim (Laura) Gabrielse, Dawn (Brian) DeMaster, and Rachel (Mike) Ritterling, Shirl (Jim) Breunig, Donna (Philip) Meerdink, Billy Markus. He is further survived by numerous cousins, other relatives, and friends.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, William Markus, Pete and Judy Gabrielse; and uncles, Todd Daane and Gary Markus.

A memorial service will be held at Sheboygan Seventh-Day Adventist Church, 3910 Erie Avenue, Sheboygan, on Saturday, May 16, 2026, at 4:00pm. Visitation will be held at church from 2:00pm until the time of service.

Memorials are appreciated in Kevin’s name to Rogers Behavioral Health Center or to go towards a memorial bench in one of Kevin’s favorite places.
