Kurt S. Sweet

Kurt S. Sweet, 79, of Sheboygan, passed away on Thursday, June 12, 2025, at HSHS St. Nicholas Hospital.

Kurt was born on November 30, 1945, to Alfred and Ellen (Tutis) Sweet in Fond du Lac. He graduated from Fond du Lac High School. On August 26, 1965, he was united in marriage to Nancy Erickson in Fond du Lac. Nancy preceded him in death on May 15, 2015.

Kurt worked as an inspector at Kohler Company for over 43 years and was a member of the Quarter Century Club. In his retirement, Kurt drove school bus for Heidenreiter Bus Services and Lakeshore Transit. He enjoyed golfing and bowling and was a member of the Kohler Co. leagues for many years. Kurt loved being outdoors, hunting and fishing. In his younger years, Kurt made trips every weekend to Fond du Lac to help his mother after his father passed away. He enjoyed attending sports games and was very involved with his grandchildren in running them to and from practices and events.

Kurt is survived by his daughter Janice (Craig) Scott of Sheboygan Falls; son Jayson Sweet of San Antonio, TX, Brian (Sue) Jennings of Aurora, WI; son-in-law Steven Price of Oostburg; 13 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and sister Bonnie (Brian) Unsworth.

Kurt was preceded in death by his wife Nancy, daughter Rebecca Price, son David Jennings, daughter-in-law Sylvia Sweet, brother Alfred Sweet, sisters Joanne Braur and Faith Sweet.

A memorial service to celebrate Kurt's life will be held at Wenig Funeral Home in Oostburg on Wednesday, June 18, 2025, at 3:00pm. Relatives and friends may greet the family from 1:00 until the time of service.

A memorial fund has been established in Kurt's name for Livasu Dementia Village.
