Laura Beth Simonelli

Laura Beth Simonelli, age 58, of Sheboygan Falls, passed away May 30, 2026 at St. Luke’s Hospital in Milwaukee.

Laura was born November 28, 1967 at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base in Ohio to Colonel Thomas Mansperger, USAF (Retired) and Carol Sloan. Growing up in an Air Force family, Laura lived in many places along the way, including the Netherlands, where she spent her middle school years and discovered a love of horseback riding. She graduated from Middleton High School in Charleston, SC, where her warm and outgoing spirit earned her a wide circle of friends who remained close long after graduation.

Laura faced numerous health challenges in her life with courage and determination. Her greatest joy was being Hanna’s mom. She treasured trips to Florida with Hanna to visit her father and stepmother, where the two of them could always be found at the pool. In later years, she enjoyed afternoons doing puzzles with her best friend, Dianne.

Survivors include her father Colonel Thomas Mansperger, USAF (Retired); siblings: Kevin Selavko, Lisa (Ted) Milne, Debbie Lionetti, Marcia (John) Russell and John (Jennifer) Mansperger; other relatives and friends.

Laura was preceded in death by her beloved daughter Hanna Simonelli, her mother Carol Sloan, and her step-mother Barbara Mansperger.

A Celebration of Life will be held at Firehouse Pizza in Sheboygan Falls on Friday, July 17th at 4:00 pm. A private family graveside service will be held in Springboro, Ohio, where Laura and Hanna will be laid to rest together at Springboro Cemetery.
