LeRoy Norville Jr.

LeRoy Joseph Norville Jr., 90, of Sheboygan, passed away on Tuesday, October 11, 2022, at Aurora Medical Center Sheboygan.

LeRoy was born to LeRoy Sr. and Dorothy (Preiss) Norville on February 4, 1932, in Milwaukee. He graduated from Don Bosco High School in Milwaukee in 1950. On September 6, 1950, LeRoy married Arlene Scott in Waukegan, IL.

LeRoy was a member of Blessed Trinity Parish in Sheboygan Falls and served as an usher. He volunteered as an EMT in Crandon, WI for 10 years. He enjoyed traveling and outdoor activities, especially walking, hiking through the woods, biking, and swimming. When LeRoy and Arlene’s children were young, he enjoyed family picnics and playing baseball at the park. LeRoy was an avid reader and loved playing cribbage and sheepshead with family and friends. LeRoy loved spending time with his grandchildren and their trips to the Zoo.

LeRoy is survived by his two daughters, Gail Lawrence and Debra (Monte) Merath; two sons, Gary (Cheryl) Norville and Mark Norville; nine grandchildren, Travis (Shannon), Jason (Kristina), Joshua (Robin), Matthew (Julia), Jessica (Mike), Rebecca (Cahl), Marcus (Jessica), Matt, Jason; 26 great-grandchildren; two sisters-in-law, Patricia Sholts and Larane Garrett; and brother-in-law, Gerald Scott.

LeRoy was preceded in death by his wife, Arlene; parents, LeRoy and Dorothy; son-in-law, Maury Lawrence; and brother, Wayne Norville.

A memorial service to celebrate LeRoy's life will be held on at Wenig Funeral Homes in Sheboygan Falls on Tuesday, October 18, 2022, at 12:00pm. An inurnment will take place at St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery.

Relatives and friends may greet the family at Wenig Funeral Homes in Sheboygan Falls on 11:00am until the time of service.

A memorial fund is being established in LeRoy's name.
