Lois Brill

Lois May Brill, 90, of Oostburg, passed away on Thursday, January 25, 2018, at her home.Lois was born on May 14, 1927, in Sheboygan, WI to Abner and Florence (Wilterdink) Weavers. She attended Our Town School and Sheboygan Falls High School. On June 4, 1955, Lois married Sam Brill in Oostburg. Lois was employed at Oostburg Public Schools and the Knotty Pine in food service. Lois was a member of Bethel Orthodox Presbyterian Church in Oostburg where she sang in the church choir and was a member of the ladies society. She enjoyed bowling, reading, solving jigsaw puzzles, and was an avid Packer and Brewer fan. Lois is survived by her husband, Sam Brill of Oostburg; daughter, Shirley (Jim) Hartman of Oostburg; son, Dan (Ione) Brill of Oostburg; three grandchildren, Tina Kaat, Rick (Gina) Hartman, Joel (Kelle) Hartman; five great-grandchildren, Jamie and Michael Kaat, Braxton and Jerica Hartman, Riley Hartman; two sister-in-laws, MaryAnn Verlare of Chicago, IL, Lucille Weavers of Oostburg; one brother-in-law, Jack (Elaine) Brill of Oostburg. She is further survived by other nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Lois was preceded in death by her first husband, Leon Soerens; parents Abner and Florence Weavers; sister, Viola Huibregtse; and two brothers, Kenneth (Lucille) Weavers, and Donald Weavers.A funeral service to celebrate Lois' life will be held on Monday, January 29, 2018, at 12 pm at Bethel Orthodox Presbyterian Church in Oostburg with Pastor Dave Veldhorst officiating. A burial will take place at Oostburg Cemetery.Relatives and friends may greet the family at Bethel Orthodox Presbyterian Church in Oostburg on Monday, January 29, 2018 from 10 am until the time of service at 12 pm.
