Mabel Gertrude Weakamp Mabel G. Weakamp, 93, a resident of Beach Health Care Center, formerly of Oostburg, died Sunday, January 21, 2007 at St. Nicholas Hospital. She was born March 13, 1913, in the Town of Holland, the daughter of the late Arant J. and Cena (Winkelhorst) Meinen. She attended Beaver Creek Grade School. On November 15, 1933, Mabel married Harry Weakamp in Cedar Grove. He preceded her in death on March 9, 1975. Mabel was a member of Bethel Orthodox Presbyterian Church in Oostburg where she was a member of the Rebecca Society. Mabel was also a charter member of Oostburg Christian School Women's Society. Survivors include two daughters, Harriet De Smith of Oostburg and Genevieve (Robert) Weavers of New Berlin; seven grandchildren, Dale (Lori) De Smith, Steve, Daniel 'Dan' (Kari)De Smith, Cheri (Paul) Lynott, Wendy (Dennis) Sobczak, Gail (Wade) Balson, Pamela (Bob) Frontczak; 10 great-grandchildren, 3 great-great grandchildren, two sisters-in-law; nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Harry, four brothers and three sisters. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, January 24, 2007 at 1:30 PM at Bethel Orthodox Presbyterian Church in Oostburg, with the Reverend John Tinsley, pastor, officiating. Burial will take place in Oostburg Cemetery. Friends may call at the church on Wednesday, January 24th, from 10:30 AM until the time of the family service at 1:15 PM. A Memorial Fund will be established in Mabel's name. Online condolences may be sent to wenig@wenigfuneralhome.com.
