Marilyn A. Neerhof, 80, of Hingham, entered eternal life on Tuesday, September 20, 2022 at Sharon S. Richardson Community Hospice.
Marilyn A. Navis was born on June 3, 1942, to Ervin and Dorthy (TenPas) Navis and was a 1960 graduate of Oostburg High School.
On April 27, 1962, Marilyn married her love and best friend, Daniel Neerhof at Hingham Reformed Church.
Marilyn had various jobs throughout the years. She was a talented hair stylist in Oostburg for many years, and worked as a supervisor for Control Products in Grafton.
Over the years, Marilyn enjoyed traveling, especially to see her children and grandchildren, needlework, reading, and spending time with her family and friends.
Marilyn had a true servant’s heart. She was organized, energetic, and compassionate.
She is survived by her loving husband of 60 years, Daniel Neerhof of Hingham; daughter, Terri (Bryan) Schultz of Jericho, VT, son Todd Neerhof of New Berlin; grandchildren Hannah (Torsten) Quinlan, Derrek (special friend Anne) Schultz, Madelyn Neerhof, and Nathan Neerhof; brother, Wayne (Alice) Navis; sister-in-law, Donna (Jerome) Sommer; brother-in-law, Ray (Frances) Neerhof. She is further survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and dear friends.
Marilyn was preceded in death by her parents and two sisters.
A funeral service to celebrate her life will take place at Calvary OPC in Cedar Grove on Saturday, October 8th at 11:00 am. A time of visitation will take place beginning at 9:00 am until the start of the service. Burial will follow at Oostburg Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts can be made in Marilyn’s honor to Calvary Orthodox Presbyterian Church, Cedar Grove and Sharon S. Richardson Community Hospice, Sheboygan Falls.
The Wenig Funeral Home of Oostburg (920-564-2771) is serving the family with arrangements.
