Marilyn J. Westerbeke, of Cedar Grove, passed away Tuesday, December 22, 2020 at Sharon S. Richardson Community Hospice. She was 92 years old.Marilyn was born May 27, 1928 in Cedar Grove, the daughter of Robert and Mabel (nee Renskers) Baden. She graduated from Cedar Grove High School in 1946. On April 23, 1948 she was united in marriage with Carl Westerbeke at First Reformed Church in Cedar Grove. For many years, Marilyn worked at Cedar Grove Lumber Company.Marilyn was a charter member of Faith Reformed Church in Cedar Grove, where she served as choir director, on the kitchen committee, and was a member of the Ladies of Faith. She enjoyed directing the music for several community Christmas cantatas and Holland Festival productions. She was also a faithful volunteer for Campus Life food pantry, American Red Cross blood drives, and Pine Haven Christian Communities. She also visited shut-in friends and church members regularly. She bowled, played cards and was an avid Brewers fan. She enjoyed hosting family and friends at her home, and setting a pretty table. Marilyn is survived by her children: Julie Keller of Sheboygan and Steven (Sherry Boatman) Westerbeke of Lubbock, TX. She is further survived by her grandchildren: Robin Krier (Katie Bulger) of Milwaukee and Liza (Adam) Mulloy of Grafton; great-grandchildren Raleigh and Salem Mulloy; sister-in-law Sharon (Tom) Brasser of Northlake, TX; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She is preceded in death by her husband, parents, parents-in-law: Jacob and Angeline Westerbeke, brother Lloyd Baden, sisters: Dorothy Baden, Lois (Gordon) Blaemers and Jean (Eugene Eernisse and Marvin Vander Jagt) Eernisse Vander Jagt, sister-in-law Ruth (Richard) Reinbold and brother-in-law Richard (Mary Lou) Westerbeke. A private family memorial service will be held celebrating Marilyn's life, and she will be laid to rest beside Carl at Cedar Grove Cemetery.In lieu of flowers or memorial gifts, the family suggests donations to a food bank of your choice.The Wenig Funeral Home of Oostburg (920-564-2771) is honored to serve the family with arrangements.
