Marion Schmidt

Marion T. Schmidt (nee Knepprath), formerly of Sheboygan Falls, passed away at Lakewood Assisted Living on Tuesday, May 24, 2022. She was 88 years old.

Marion was born February 1, 1934 in the town of Holland, daughter of William Sr and Rose (nee Kraus) Knepprath. She graduated from Random Lake High School in 1953 and went on to study at the Sheboygan Business College.

On August 8, 1960 she was united in marriage with Eugene O. Schmidt in Sheboygan. He preceded her in death December 27, 1999.

Marion worked as a housekeeper at St. Nicholas Hospital for 21 years, retiring in 2000. She was a member of Blessed Trinity Catholic Church as well as the Sheboygan Falls Senior Center. She loved flowers and enjoyed working on word search books multiple times a week.

Marion is survived by her daughter Janice (Kenneth) Kesner of Townsend; 3 step-grandchildren: Cheryl (Adam) of AZ, Shane of Sheboygan and Derek (Kristen) of Sheboygan; 3 step-great-grandchildren: Ian, Jaden and Brayden; sisters-in-law Marion Knepprath and Loretta Knepprath; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00AM on Thursday, June 2, 2022 at Blessed Trinity Catholic Church in Sheboygan Falls. The family will receive visitors at the church on Thursday morning from 10:00-11:00AM.

Marion will be laid to rest at Lutheran Cemetery beside Eugene.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to The Salvation Army.
