Marion Wynveen

Marion Johanna Wynveen, 102, of Hingham, passed away on Sunday, June 3, 2018, at Cedar Grove Gardens. Marion J. Lammers was born on June 10, 1915, in Town of Lima, WI, to Anthony and Jennie (Reimes) Lammers. She was a 1933 graduate of Wisconsin Memorial Academy in Cedar Grove. On, March 27, 1934, Marion married Lloyd Wynveen. Lloyd preceded Marion in death on March 20, 1999. Marion was a busy and faithful mother and homemaker while raising her five children.Marion was a lifelong member of Hingham Reformed Church. She was an excellent seamstress, and enjoyed gardening, cooking, candy making "sugar specks", and spending time with her family.Marion is survived by her daughter, Marjorie (Herbert) Dirkse of Cedar Grove; three sons, Calvin (Vonnie) Wynveen of Oostburg, Lowell (Patricia) Wynveen of Cascade, Robert (Kathleen) Wynveen of Germantown; daughter-in-law, Judi (Gary) TenHaken of Oostburg; 12 grandchildren, Ann (Michael) Canzoneri, Robert (Kelly) Dirkse, Mary (Don) Tonyan, Ann (Fiancé, Lynn Vollmar) Fenske, Rece (Rebekah) TenHaken, Kevin (Wendy) Wynveen, James (Donna) Wynveen, Thomas Wynveen, Michael (Tresa) Wynveen, Christine Wynveen, Sandra (Niall Dempsey) Wynveen, Steven (Fiancé, Michelle Stephens) Wynveen; 21 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. Marion was preceded in death by her husband, Lloyd Wynveen; son, Mark Wynveen; sister, Helen (John) Leynse; brother, Alfred (Jeverna) Lammers; grandson, David Wynveen; two sisters-in-law, Bertha (Andrew) Dees, and Gertrude (Jay) Schaap; and a brother-in-law, Willis (Alida) Wynveen.A funeral service to celebrate Marion's life will be held on Saturday, June 9, 2018, at 10:30 am at Hingham Reformed Church with Rev. Steven J. Bakker officiating. A burial will take place at Hingham Cemetery.Relatives and friends may greet the family at church on Saturday from 9:00 am until the time of service at 10:30 am.A memorial fund is being established in her name for Hingham Reformed Church.
